How they are made
Every character starts as a real drawing, wonky lines, uneven eyes and all, and then gets printed onto heavyweight blanks. Nothing is traced, and no bird in the range came from a stock library.
Why the runs are small
Each character is printed in a short run and then stops. When a run is gone it is gone, and Dominic is not being reprinted forever. Partly because small runs are the only honest way to do this without a warehouse, and partly because a seagull with unlimited availability is a contradiction in terms.
The waitlist goes out first, a day before anything is public, which is the only reliable way to get hold of a restock. Put your email on it and Dominic will be informed. He will be very grateful.
